Matlock returned to winning ways, in a deserved victory over Kendal. The homeside made much of the early running however the visitors looked lively on the break. Matlock took the lead through Warne and the half time advantage was doubled by Joynes. Kendal started the second period the brighter side, but Hannah put the game beyond Kendal by adding Matlocks third. Full Report.

High flying Bradford left Causeway Lane with maximum points and it wasnt underserved. Bradford had done enough to earn a 2 goal advantage before Matlock scored what could have been a lifeline just before halftime. It wasnt to be as the visitors sealed the game with a third goal, and Matlock were reduced to 10 men, when both home and away supporters were bemused at the the decision. Full report. |

'Gladiators on Tour and other footballing stories' is John's account of his own season, watching 105 games in total. The book is selling well but there are still a few copies available.
