Something had to give on Saturday at Nantwich,we were 7 league games unbeaten they were 8.

Yet again we had to change things in terms of personnel but good news was that Yatesy and taz came through unscathed at training and went straight into the starting line up.

In my opinion this was a game which had similarities to Warrington.

Both away from home and both second and flying at the time.

First half the game plan didn’t work,i wanted us to back up and sit off and try to play counter attack, it was evident that it was foreign to the boys and it gave Nantwich the ascendancy, we had to change it and play on the front foot, play higher up the pitch and get them turned around and play in there final 3rd.

We bypassed their influential players and also stopped them playing out.

To go in 1-0 down was credit to Ross for saving a penalty and along with one or two other outstanding saves, we also had our own chances but was unfortunate not to take them.

The performance that the players put in the second half was sensational.

Westy and Luke work rate and endeavour put them on the back foot from minute one and were causing them all sorts of problem.

Clevland and Taron dominated the midfield winning everything and putting good quality balls in behind, Chappy and Kingy were causing havoc down the sides and had them pinned in all second half.

The back four defended to detail and were magnificent, we had condensed the spaces and they just couldn’t get out.

The most pleasing aspect for me was the quality of play we delivered scoring some outstanding goals in the process, to score another 4 goals especially against second in the league is no mean feat.Nantwich are a top side and were unbeaten at home.

Ross Durrant had his best game and its the busiest he’s been but what a performance. Yatesy and Taz only had one training session prior and were superb, alongside Brad and Ashton.

I honestly couldn’t choose a MOM,the players to a man were excellent, you can see the togetherness when they score goals.

The subs, players in the stand were all in together and now with the injuries getting somewhere near its gonna be some competition for places thats for sure.

The turnaround has been very pleasing and we now sit in the top half of the table, we were bottom on October the 2nd.

All this hard work is down to the players, we can give them direction and set them up but they have to go and produce, something over the last 8 league game is what they have done.

We’re hoping to have Jordan lemon and Billy Whiehead available Saturday and a new signing should be in the building Tuesday.

Its important we don’t rest on our laurels and keep improving.

Tuesday we play our Derbyshire cup game against Shirebrook Town and its a game we won’t be taking lightly.

We will be playing a strong side and I want to win every game we play in especially when its our only chance of cup silverware.

Mugger has done a great job of late and he watches games now with his eyes shut.

Marshall,Harrad,Davie,Wiley,Lemon,Wood,Jackson,Williams,B.Whitehead and Beevers were all missing yesterday.Lee has only just come out of hospital after a serious infection in the cut around his ankle. He was in for over a week. He is a great lad and he will be missed around the place as he has to rest up for another 2 weeks until its healed.

4 home games on the spin is most welcome and hopefully the support will continue to rise, everyone of us really do appreciate it.

See you Tuesday
