Matlock Town are pleased to announce the one month loan signing of twenty four year old goal scoring midfielder Andy Gascoigne.
Andy started off his career at Brunsmeer Athletic before joining Sheffield Wednesday, Barnsley and finally Mansfield Town and working through the ranks as a youth player.
On leaving Mansfield, Andy had several trials before joining Sheffield FC. Proving that he had an eye for goal, he scored an impressive 22 times in the 2013/2014 season.
After a summer trial at Northampton Town and interest from other clubs, the influential midfielder opted to join his former Sheffield FC manager Curtis Woodhouse at Goole AFC in the beginning of the 2014/2015 season before his form earned him a move to Harrogate Town.
Andy suffered a double leg break in February 2015 during which he missed almost ten months of play and went on to bag two goals on his return in a county cup clash for the Sulphurites in December of this season.
