We are pleased to announce the loan signing of eighteen-year-old striker Curtis Morrison from League One Chesterfield FC.
He joined Chesterfield as a scholar, and whilst still in his first year he appeared in the summer of 2014 for the first-team in a pre-season friendly away at Alfreton.
A lively, bustling forward, he has impressed in FA Youth Cup and under-18 and under-21 football for the Spireites and in the summer of 2016 he signed his first professional contract.
He started pre-season as a member of the senior squad and made his home debut in a friendly against Sheffield Wednesday and featured against the Gladiators at the DCJ Group Insurance Arena.
Curtis’ competitive, professional debut came on the 9th August 2016, when he came on as a second half substitute away to Rochdale in the EFL League Cup.
Things would get even better on the 20th August when Curtis made his League debut as a late substitute at Shrewsbury Town.
Last month Curtis spent time Gainsborough Trinty where he featured several times for the holy blues.
We would like to thank Chesterfield FC and their manager Danny Wilson for their help in making this move happen and allowing Curtis to feature for the Gladiators in the Emirates FA Cup in which he could play tomorrow (1/10/16)
Welcome to the club Curtis!
