Matlock Town are pleased to announce the signing of twenty one year old Joe Doyle-Charles who is equally at home in midfield as he is in defence from Alfreton Town.
Doyle-Charles, is a product of Burton Albion’s Academy and his exploits earned him his first professional contract under then Brewers manager Gary Rowett in the summer of 2014. He was included in the match day squad for Burton’s League Two play-off final at Wembley but found his opportunities limited under Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink.
Versatile Doyle-Charles then signed for Ilkeston FC in the summer of 2015 following several impressive performances he was sold to Alfreton Town in Feb 2016 where he has played his football since and will now go in to the squad for tomorrows game against Warrington Town (27/8/16 – 3PM kick off)
