Matlock boss Mark Hume has made two signings ahead of tomorrow’s home clash with Colwyn Bay.

The vastly experienced midfielder Laurie Wilson has moved from Belper Town where he has captained the side this season having formerly played in the Conference for Burton Albion, Kidderminster Harriers, Alfreton Town and Harrogate Town and then serving Ilkeston, Grantham Town and Buxton in the Evo-Stik NPL

Chesterfield based Wilson began his career with Sheffield Wednesday where his father Danny also managed.

Also coming to Matlock is 21 years old attacking midfielder Jordan Deacey on a month’s loan from Boston United.

Deacey’s father John previously managed Bradford Park Avenue with Mark Hume as his assistant which is where Deacey junior began his career making 130 appearances and then a further 40 for AFC Telford before moving to York Street in the summer.

The Gladiators will be hoping to end a winless run of four league and cup matches tomorrow.
