Matlock Town is pleased to announce that eighteen-year-old Academy and Reserve goalkeeper Jordan Pierrepont has signed a first team contract with the club.

Pierrepont becomes the 2nd MTFC Youth Product this Week To Sign a Long Term Contract with the Club.

After joining as a Schoolboy after spells at Sheffield United and then Chesterfied FC, Jordan played while still at Secondary School in our MTFCR Step 7 Side as well as our Academy U17s were he was the Hero of the Historic 2016 Eurosporting Blackpool Cup win after putting his name into the clubs history with his penalty shootout performance against Scottish Premier League Side Hamilton Academicals.

The young stopper went onto play for our First Team at the tender age of 16 and in the Same season was a huge part of the 2016/17 NPL Academy Joma League Title Winning Side. In the same season, Jordan was a fundamental Member of the young Gladiators step seven side that had a Top seven finish and won for the first time in our history the 2017 Derbyshire DN Cup. As well as becoming the first player in Eurosporting history to play and win two U17 finals as we retained the Blackpool Cup for the second year running.

Appearing for the first team both last season and this season, Jordan was also named the NPL Player of the Year at our MTFC 2017 development awards while this season has helped our Young gladiators at Step seven To 5th in the League and a place once again in the Derbyshire DN Cup Final.

Jordan is currently on a dual registration with Step five Club Heanor Town FC while still playing for our MTFC Sides as part of his development.
