Matlock Town are pleased to announce the signing of twenty four year old defender Alex Pursehouse from Bradford Park Avenue.

Alex began his career with Tranmere Rovers youth side before making the move north to Scottish side Kilmarnock making his debut against Celtic, he would make nine appearances for Killie between 2011 and 2013 and would then go on to join Brechin City until the end of the season. After making twelve appearance, Pursehouse was among players to be released.

After leaving Brechin City in 2014, Alex returned to England to join Worksop Town and made a big impression earning himself a move to Bradford Park Avenue in February 2015. In the 2015/2016 season while at BPA, Alex would have a short loan spell with Sheffield FC to regain fitness following injury making his mark with four man of the match appearances in eleven games.
