Stand Appeal Match

GRIPPER v BROWNY!!

On Sunday 27th April, Matlock Town FC will be hosting a charity match in aid of the New Stand Appeal. As many of you may now be aware, we are very close to finalising the plans and hope to proceed with the build in the very near future.

The game is a final push to get some much needed funds, so we are asking for as much support as possible.

The main game will see MTFC joint managers go head to head in a battle of wits and tactics. The teams will be made up of current and past MTFC players, and fans of the club, and should create a competitive but fun match.

Entry is only £2 for adults and £1 for children.

Before the main game will be an U9's local football tournament, where the teams will be battling for the first MTFC Junior Championship Trophy!

Throughout the day, the Gladiators social club will be playing host to its first ever beer festival over the weekend of 25th to 27th April.

The event has been organised by Coleman Bradshaw Accountants, who are keen supporters of local football and real ale.

Coleman Bradshaw have been able to source 12 seasonal beers from local brewers Abbeydale, Ashover, Brampton, Spire and Wirksworth, and there will be enough to go around for their clients and football fans alike.

“We were looking for a way to socialise with our clients and make money for the club at the same time, and we thought what better combination than beer and football?” enthused Scott Bradshaw, partner at Coleman Bradshaw.

It is hoped that this will be the first of many annual beer festivals to be held at the Gladiators, although possibly the last in the old hut.
