Matlock Town is pleased to announce the signing of twenty five-year-old defender/midfielder Todd Jordan formally of Alfreton Town.

Sheffield-born Jordan can play in both the centre of defence or in midfield and was with Shirebrook Town before moving to Lincoln City.

Prior to Shirebrook, he had previously played for Worsbrough Bridge Athletic, Staveley Miners’ Welfare and Parkgate.

He made 46 appearances for Lincoln, scoring once, and during his time at Sincil Bank also had a three-month loan spell with Stalybridge Celtic and ended the 2014/15 season on loan at Buxton before being released by the Imps.

Jordan joined Alfreton Town in June of the 15/16 season making forty appearances and scoring three goals and then making eighteen appearances last season with the Reds. He has made several appearances for the Gladiators during pre season as a trialist including last night against Sheffield United when he came on as a sub.
