Chairman Tom Wright hails donation heroes

Gladiators Chairman Tom Wright was quick to praise the Gladiators "donation heroes" when he spoke to Media Manager James Griffiths earlier today.

The Gladiators JustGiving page was set up in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic that has hit a lot of Non-League and Grassroots clubs hard as they have to cope with no match-day income for the foreseeable future with questions marks still remaining on the fate of the Northern Premier League 19/20 season.

"I keep checking once a day and I am simply stunned, not only by the kindness and generosity of our fans but the football family on the whole. To be nearly at £2000 as things stand is truly remarkable, this money will make a huge difference for the football club and I can not thank those who have taken the time to donate or share the link on social media enough, you have given us a light at what is a dark time for not only football but the world as a whole," said Mr Wright.
