Chib Chilaka departs for neighbours Belper Town

Matlock Town have released striker Chib Chilaka who will be joining their NPL South East Division local rivals Belper Town.
Chilaka (34) joined the Gladiators a year ago from Grantham Town after an earlier spell at Mickleover. He will be remembered mostly for netting five goals in a 7-1 win in the Derbyshire Senior Cup at Borrowash Victoria.
Chilaka had been playing for East Midlands Counties League Clipstone as Matlock manager Paul Phillips sent him out to play games to increase his match fitness. But with Matlock having Liam Hughes, Joe Bunney, Callum Dolan, Osebi Abadaki and Callum Chippendale competing for the forward positions, Chilaka has dropped down the pecking order and has not featured in the Matlock side so far this season.
