Energetic 21 years old Danny joined the Gladiators on loan from Gateshead in March 2022 for a second spell with Matlock having been with the Gladiators at the start of the abandoned 2020/21 campaign when he quickly became a crowd favourite. A great passer of the ball with an eye for a goal, he spent his early years at Manchester United before moving to Barnsley and then joining Gateshead in July 2019 after a successful trial period on Tyneside.
