Gladiators confirm capture of talented defensive duo

Matlock Town is pleased to announce the signings of nineteen-year-old right-back Joe Ferguson formally of Blackburn Rovers and nineteen-year-old left-back Sean Higgins formally of Altrincham FC

Joe, who was born in Manchester is of Batak descent through his Indonesian mother and expressed his desire to represent Indonesia at an international level spent his youth career at Blackburn Rovers from 2014 to 2022 and during that time last season had a nine-game loan spell with Witton Albion during which he faced the Gladiators but which was cut short as he was recalled by the blue and whites.

Sean, joins us from Altrincham FC with the promising youngster comfortable at either right or left-back, he spent last season on loan at Trafford FC picking himself up their Young Player Of The Season and Players Player Of The Season.

Both Joe and Sean will feature in this evening's friendly against Buxton FC and we are pleased to bring both of the talented youngsters to The Proctor Cars Stadium.
