Gladiators forced in to contingency plan for Christmas Day function

We are sad to report that due to the continuing rise in cases of the Omicron COVID-19 variant, we will now be unable to host our planned Christmas Day function at The Shorts Lounge on Saturday 25th December.

However, following discussions with our friends at The Remarkable Hare, we will now be instead offering delivery of a Christmas dinner to those who had planned to attend along with a few other bits and bobs to try and ensure that people in our local community do not feel alone this Christmas. We have already got in contact with the majority who had registered an interest in coming and will continue to contact more over the coming days.

Chairman Bryn Apperley said the following "I am bitterly disappointed that once again due to the ongoing pandemic that we have had to change our plans for Christmas Day, it really isn't a choice we made lightly. I am however immensely proud of the club and our band of volunteers along with local businesses such as The Remarkable Hare that have come together to form a contingency plan so that we can still hopefully spread some festive cheer in these difficult times."
