Gladiators issue heat wave awareness message ahead of Spireites friendly

Matlock Town is looking forward to hosting Chesterfield FC with many tickets sold, it promises to be a great match day.

However, as I am sure many of you are aware, temperatures tomorrow between 1500 and 1700 will be around 25-27 degrees which can lead to heat exhaustion and even more serious, heatstroke

We wanted to take a moment to remind you of some of the symptoms of heat exhaustion which include headaches, dizziness, feeling sick, clammy skin, cramps and being very thirsty.

it's important to stay well hydrated with water and keep out the sun as much as possible to stay cool.

We have a fantastic community as well as a great friendship with the Spireites fanbase so we trust that we will all look out for each other to make sure that we can all enjoy the match and keep cool at the same time.

Tickets are still available for tomorrow's game but will go off sale at midnight this evening with any remaining to be sold on the turnstiles tomorrow. We do encourage those who wish to come to the game to buy a ticket beforehand to avoid disappointment as we have already sold a large number and can not guarantee that we won't end up with a full-capacity sellout.
