Gladiators recruit Smudger on loan

Matlock Town will include highly rated young striker Scott Smith in their squad for today's friendly at Lincoln United.

Smith made eighteen appearances for Guiseley in National League North last season and Gladiators boss Steve Kittrick was quick to snap him up once he was aware of his availability.

Smith can also operate on the flanks. The Lincoln game is Matlock's final warm up match before the new season gets under way next weekend when Town are at home to Bamber Bridge.
