Gladiators sign Stags youngster Flanagan

Matlock Town are pleased to announce the short-term loan signing of Mansfield Town U21s midfielder and captain Finn Flanagan.

The 20-year-old midfielder joined League One Mansfield in January 2021, signing his first professional deal in 2023. In the same year, he made his debut against Doncaster Rovers in a 3-2 victory and would go on to feature eight times for the Stags' first team. He has had previous loan spells with Rushall Olympic, Redditch United and Mickleover FC, earning him vital experience.

The youngster is described as a box-to-box midfielder who will bring plenty of energy to the middle of the park.

We can also confirm that Myles Boney, James Murray, Tyree Wilson, Lewis Cunningham and Donae Lawrence have departed the club.
