Guiseley AFC Vs MTFC | 10.9.22 - POSTPONED

Matlock Town’s visit to Guiseley tomorrow is off after an announcement via the Northern Premier League that following confirmation by the Football Association, all fixtures down from the Premier League to grass roots level, will be postponed as a mark of respect following the death yesterday of Her Majesty the Queen.

The decision to postpone was taken in accordance with protocol, namely by the FA as the governing body, a decision which is fully supported by the NPL.

At present it appears that league fixtures will resume from Monday 12 September onwards although it is understood that no sporting event of any kind will take place on the day of the Queen’s funeral.

Matlock’s next scheduled fixture therefore is a trip to FC United of Manchester on Tuesday night.
