Michael rejoined Matlock for a second spell in November 2023 having had some time out of the game at Step 3 level. He originally signed for the Gladiators in August 2016 from Ilkeston FC and went on to be a most popular figure at the club. A box to box midfielder capable of scoring vital goals He left the club at the start of the 2019/20 season to join Sheffield FC and has also played at Frickley before playing locally . This season he has been at Clay Cross Town in the Northern Counties East League First Division.
