Nico DeGirolamo comes home to the Gladiators

Matlock Town is pleased to announce the signing of thirty-one-year-old Italian central defender Nico DeGirolamo, formally of Grantham Town and subject to NPL and FA clearance.

Nico is a name that is already well known amongst the Gladiators faithful as he was a big part of the team assembled by Glenn Kirkwood and Craig Hopkins after joining from Mickleover Sports in the 16/17 season. His most memorable moment in a blue and white shirt previously was his winning goal in the Buildbase FA Trophy against National League side Solihull Moors.

He has previously played for Heanor Town, Mickleover Sports, Grantham Town and Buxton FC. He would join the Bucks whom at the time had current Gladiators Manager Paul Phillips at the helm from Matlock and as soon as the gaffer was aware of Nico's availability this summer, he would act quickly to reunite with the defensive dynamo.
