One in and one out for Gladiators

Matlock Town can confirm the one month loan signing of eighteen-year-old forward Luke Rawson from Chesterfield FC and the departure of defender Jordon Cooke who has decided to depart the club in the search for regular football.

Rawson has previously had a brief spell on loan with the Gladiators during the Dave Hoole era before going on to have two successful loan spells with the worlds oldest club Sheffield FC. The lifelong Spireites fan signed his first professional deal with his parent club towards the tail end of 2018. Rawson will be available for tomorrows trip to Ashton United and is eligible for the Gladiators in next weeks Emirates FA Cup clash against Basford United.

Defender Cooke departs us in the search for regular first-team football with the club mutually agreeing to cancel his contract. We thank Jordon for his time at the club and wish him the best in his future endeavours.
