Phillps adds to his backroom staff with two additions

Matlock Town is pleased to welcome Brian Wilson (Assistant Manager/Player) and Brian Entwistle (Player Analyst) to the club.
Wilson (36) has had a storied career as a right-sided defender that saw him play over four hundred times in the football league for teams including Stoke City, Cheltenham Town, Bristol City, Colchester United and Oldham Athletic before dropping in to non-league to play for Barrow AFC and a short spell with Buxton FC. He will twin his assistant manager role with playing and is available for tomorrows home game against Hyde United.
Brian Entwistle joins us as the clubs first-ever Player Analyst who's role will include taking the matchday footage and breaking it down for individual players and the squad as a whole to study and hopefully make positive changes. Brian has held this role under Paul Phillips at Glossop North End, Buxton FC and Mossley AFC as well as holding the manager's position himself at Retford FC for a time.
Phillips described Wilson as "Absolutely the best professional I’ve ever worked with and he will bring that and many more attributes to what we want to do at this football club"
On Entwistle, he had the following to say "He’s a bloke who is as loyal as a tiger and without him and his input even though it goes unnoticed, we would be a by far underprepared squad week in week out"
Welcome aboard Brian Wilson and Brian Entwistle
