Matlock Town’s scheduled home NPL Premier Division game tonight versus Marine has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The 12 noon inspection was nothing more than a formality with large areas of the Proctor Cars Stadium surface covered in water following heavy rainfall.
A new date for the match will be announced in due course.
The Gladiators are next in action away at Stafford Rangers on Saturday when goalkeeper Saul Deeney will make his debut. Matlock’s next home match is a tasty one against league leaders South Shields on Tuesday 17 January (7.45pm).
