Shorts Lounge to host Christmas Day Lunch for the community

We are pleased to announce the return of our Christmas Day Lunch at The Shorts Lounge.
We look forward to seeing old and new faces after a truly difficult last few years for us all.
"We have in the past focused more on helping the elderly with our Christmas Day lunches but after the effects of the pandemic, we are also making a big appeal to anybody who would be spending the day alone. Christmas is about bringing people together and we want to do what we can for as many people as we can" said Chairman Bryn Apperley when asked about the clubs plans.
As well as the lunch itself, there will be entertainment along with raffles and bingo.
We want to send big shout out to the folks at The Remarkable Hare, Matlock who have offered to cook and deliver the main courses.
Another shout out goes to Howarths at Belper and Coates at Darley Dale providing meats for the day.
If you wish to attend or have any questions then please email bryn.apperley@matlocktownfc.co.uk
We have worked hard with our two covid officers at the club to make sure the day is a success and for guests that are not already double vaccinated, we will be able to offer lateral flow tests at the ground on the day to everybody who wishes to take one.
We are on the look out for more volunteers (preferably double vaccinated) to help with the day's events and you can find out more using the same email.
Volunteers will be wearing masks and sanitisation points will be there available for everyone. We will be able to keep guests socially distanced and safe.
We look forward to seeing you all!
