Stalybridge Celtic Vs Matlock Town - 19/12/20 | POSTPONED

Matlock Town’s scheduled Pitching IN NPL Premier Division game at Stalybridge on Saturday has been called off.

With more of the country under Covid Tier 3 restrictions following the Government announcement on
Thursday, the decision was taken to postpone the match, which was one of only two being played at the weekend, the other being Mickleover v Radcliffe.

Matlock Chairman Bryn Apperley says that the Gladiators understand the reasoning behind the
decision.

“While we were keen to play and see some competitive football again, we respect the decision that has been taken. These are strange and difficult times and we must all support and work with one another during this pandemic.”
