Webb-Foster departs for undisclosed fee

Striker Reece Webb-Foster has left Matlock Town and has joined NPL Western Division Clitheroe for an undisclosed fee.

Webb-Foster came with a glowing reputation for scoring goals but failed to find the target for the Gladiators since joining them from Colne midway through last season.

Ironically he made his Clitheroe debut yesterday (Saturday) and scored in their pre season win at Radcliffe!

“He never looked like he was going to get the goals for us, and that can happen in football. It didn’t work out for him or the football club so we both move on, he’s a great lad, and we wish him all the best for the future” Phillips added.

Matlock are back in action at home to Sheffield FC on Tuesday night before completing their pre season programme with a trip to Carlton Town on Saturday.
