Gladiators first-team squad update - 8.7.25

Matlock Town can confirm that new signing Tommy Elliott has successfully undergone pre-planned surgery on a shoulder injury, and we expect him to be available for selection in early September.

Captain Josh Granite is making great progress with his rehab as he continues his road to recovery, and we are hopeful that he will be available before the conclusion of pre-season.

Defender Harlain Mbayo missed the Chesterfield game as he was at a wedding with the manager's blessing. Midfielder Fouad Bachirou was also unavailable due to personal commitments, with both players set to return this coming weekend against Derby County.
