JOB ADVERT - Club Secretary

Matlock Town are recruiting for a full-time club secretary and football administration officer to become part of the team here at The Proctor Cars Stadium.

This is a crucial position within the club, responsible for ensuring that all football administration is handled professionally and efficiently, in line with FA and league requirements along with other general administrative duties.

Gladiators owner David Hilton now requires the position to be filled on a full-time basis and would like to offer his thanks to outgoing club secretary Nigel Smith, who is departing due to other work commitments and being unavailable on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the football and club operations team where required.

Act as the main point of contact with the league, FA, and other governing bodies.

Oversee all player registrations, transfers, and contract documentation.

Work with the key officials on match administration, including official paperwork, team sheets, and referee liaison.

Ensure all compliance deadlines are met throughout the season.

Maintain accurate records, including minutes, correspondence, and key club documentation.

The ideal candidate MUST be able to fit the following criteria:

Well-organised with strong attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Able to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.

Familiar with FA Full-Time, Whole Game System, and other relevant platforms.

Flexible to attend matchdays, meetings, and events, often outside of standard hours.

Passion for football and an understanding of the non-league landscape.

This is a paid role, and salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Please send applications along with a covering letter, as well as details of any relevant experience and qualifications to info@matlocktownfc.co.uk
