Connor Dimaio
Connor signed for Matlock in February 2023 from National League North Curzon Ashton. Chesterfield born, he was at the Sheffield United Academy before graduating to their first team making three first team appearances during 2013/14. He then joined Chesterfield and after 44 games for his hometown club, he moved to Stockport County making 35 appearances and scoring three goals. In August 2020 Connor signed for Boston United before joining Curzon Ashton after a second loan spell with the Nash. He has also represented the Republic of Ireland at under 16, 17, 19 and 21 levels. Unfortunately within a month of joining Matlock, he collapsed to the turf during a home game with Ashton United and his worst fears were realised as he had to undergo surgery on a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament and strained medial and lateral ligaments, and Connor is expected to miss much of the season.
