Wakefield departs for Basford United

Striker Harry Wakefield has moved to Basford United after the Ambers issued a seven days notice of approach to the Gladiators late last week.

Wakefield joined the Gladiators in February 2023 from Anstey Nomads becoming popular among both team mats and fans at the Proctor Cars Stadium.

He is expected to be included in the Basford squad that takes on Lancaster City at Greenwich Avenue this evening.

There will be more reaction to the move in the news release to be issued later tonight or tomorrow.
