Wright move for Myles as keeper joins AFC Mansfield on dual-reg deal

Goalkeeper Myles Wright has signed for United Counties League Premier Division North strugglers AFC Mansfield but will still remain on Matlock Town’s books.

It is a dual registration agreement which Gladiators boss Martin Carruthers says will suit both Wright and Matlock. Wright has spent the season so far on the bench acting as understudy to Saul Deeney who has been in outstanding form.

“Myles will continue to train with us but needs some games to keep him match sharp. It’ll be great for Myles to get some minutes at a competitive level so that he’ll be ready to be called upon “ said Carruthers who rates the Matlock based stopper highly.
