Gladiators join forces with Mayors Charity

Matlock Town Football club are joining forces with Matlock Town Council to help raise funds for Mayors charity. This year the Mayors charity is raising funds for Derby Mountain Rescue and Matlock Young People. (Highfields PTFA and Friends of Hurst Farm)

This should be a fantastic event bringing the Matlock community together. Our young people will be involved through Highfields school and with Derby Mountain Rescue we will also have one of our local emergency services involved. We are planning some pre match and half time activities. If you are a student at Highfields talk to your form tutor about getting a free entry ticket!

Chairman of Matlock Football club Jay Beaumont said "It is an honour to be working with Paul to support his charity day. There are some great activities being planned by Derby Mountain Rescue and the Highfields students which I’m sure will make this a great day off the pitch as well as on it.”

Cllr Paul Cruise Mayor of Matlock said "I love watching Matlock Town and it should be a great fixture against FC United of Manchester. I am really grateful to the club for working with us on this fundraising activity. Having Highfields, Friends of Hurst Farm and Derby Mountain Rescue involved will make it a very special community day."
