Loanee Church recalled by BPA

On loan striker Eddie Church has been recalled by parent club Bradford (Park Avenue).

The National League North club made the decision ahead of their visit to Spennymoor Town tomorrow (Saturday).

Church has been in impressive form for the Gladiators, scoring early in his debut against Radcliffe before netting a brace in the 4-0 Boxing Day derby victory against Belper Town. He has made five appearances for the Gladiators.

At least Matlock boss Martin Carruthers has plenty of forward options with newly signed Karl Demidh, Jack Deakin, Jordan Slew and Alex Duhameau in contention ,

Saul Deeney will make his Gladiators debut in goal at Stafford in place of the suspended Jim Pollard while midfielder Jordan Barnett will also be missing after accumulating ten bookings and adding to them by his two yellow cards and subsequent sending off against Morpeth Town last Saturday.
